LOGOS News: 

Starting September 8th!

Ages 4 yrs - 5th Grade - Wednesdays 5:00 - 7:30 PM / Cost is $50.00 per semester / $100.00 per year

 

This mid-week program is designed especially for your children.  Starting in the Dining Room with Family Time and moving all the way through Bible Time, Worship Time, and Play Time, your child will be learning more about God and having fun in the process! 

Where can you help?  We need adults / parents to help decorate the dining room, table parents, assisting with leading the kids to where they need to be, Bible Time Leaders, and Recreation Time Leaders.  Parents are asked to sign up their kids at the church picnic, August 29th.  If you are interested in assisting with our programming on Wednesdays, please see Mike or Jan or contact us through the church office, 724-832-0150.

Sunday School News

 

WELCOME HOME!! Sunday School begins September 12 @ 9:30 a.m.

Our Sunday School programming will begin, September 12, 2010 at the 9:30 worship time.  Come and worship together, after the Children’s Sermon, the children and youth will go to their classes.  We have an active church nursery for children under the age of 3 (and not potty trained).  It is staffed by very capable caregivers.  We have classes from preschool age thru adult.  There should be something there for you!!   The children have time for music, as well as Bible and fellowship time. Our curriculum allows time for scripture lessons, along with points of interest for each age level.    Classes are over at 10:45. We ask that parents pick up their children from class as this is a big building.  Classes occur on all three floors of the Christian Education wing.  If you have questions about where to meet or pick-up your child, please do not hesitate to ask our Deacons, or me, Jan Schuchman, Director of Christian Education.  We hope to see you!!

Children and Worship:  This occurs at the 11:00 service.  The children ages 4 thru 5th grade, can experience a worship time geared more to their ages.  We attend after the Children's sermon, with parents asked to meet their children on the 1st floor of the C.E. wing, middle classroom.  If you would be interested in assisting with this program, contact Jan thru the church office or see me at coffee hours.

 

Bible Presentations   September 19^th our third grade class and our 7^th grade confirmation class will receive Bibles at the 9:30 worship service.  Please plan to attend and also to use your Bibles.  Your teachers will be using them in class, so try your best to remember to bring it back each Sunday.

 

Confirmation  Our new class will be gathering with our 8^th confirmation class on September 17^th for a lock-in.  Our 9^th graders who just finished their confirmation will be joining us too.  They will be acting as student mentors to the upcoming classes.  Watch for additional information to come to you in either the First View or by mail. 

Church Nursery: Stop by our Nursery and see the updates made by our caregivers!! They have created a lot of ways for the children to experience new things and play spaces!!
